Maybe, if it's the correct size. I used the sharp thread snips that come in the Sulky Tool Kit. I just pushed it through until it stopped. Then I turned it over and did it from the other end, and it made a really nice hole without any danger at all of cutting the stitches. https://www.sulky.com/item/sulky-embr...
