With a design this dense and because it's free-standing lace, I would use the fuller spools. The goal is to not have to change threads too many times, and you don't want to run out of bobbin thread either.
Would you suggest beginning with large thread spools? Especially the red? Or will fairly full smaller spools cover both bobbin and top?
