Well, the film type (like Ultra Solvy) may get crinkly sounding over time. The fabric-like stabilizer can draw up if not rinsed way if it gets wet or damp. If it's for you, I'd give it a go. If it behaves badly then soak it and dissolve next year. Also, you may find it difficult to get rid of the Ultra Solvy along the edge without thoroughly wetting it. You don't want to damage your threads with over rubbing.
