Hi! MJ here. Freezer paper and fabric sizing (and starch products) are not friends. So if you're using a fabric that has lots of sizing in it, please be sure to pre-wash it. Definitely do not use a fabric starch solution (like Best Press, Flatter, or Acorn Precision Piecing Fabric Solution) before cutting your fabric, which has the same effect on freezer paper. These are great products to use on your quilt top AFTER you've pieced it and pulled all the papers off. They make the seams lie super flat. But it only helps AFTER you've pieced your top.
