Hi! MJ here. You can definitely reduce the patterns, but it will result in a couple of things you should be aware of. First, you'll have to trace all the lines, codes, and hashmarks of the new smaller pattern onto freezer paper. That would be a daunting job, one that could be fraught with errors! Secondly, by reducing the pattern, the facets will get teeny-tiny. Hard to work with. Might I suggest an alternative? Check out the Birthstone Series! They are 17" square blocks. The Ruby, Sapphire, Amethyst, and Tanzanite are Princess Cuts. You could change up the color into anything you desire and drop them all into a lovely quilt. And be sure to send me images of the finished product! Sounds lovely!
