There is a great starter kit available https://www.sulky.com/item/stabilizer... and a great Sampler Pack for $9.99 https://www.sulky.com/item/sulky-stab... contains 19 - 8 x 10 usable pieces and all labeled. This is a great product to try all stabilizers!

I have tried several ways but the best and easiest I have found is just get some Sticky+ and put it in your hoop then use a Sticky + slitting pen
(((that I have only found on Sulky web sight it is a Sticky+ Slitting Pen ((number 6511))((( well worth the cost ...))) and you just take the cap off of it when you use it so it will stay sharp then mark the paper side (that is facing up) (I usually mark a larger size than I want to .... ) and then just take the T Shirt or whatever you are wanting to do and put it on the sticky area that you want to use and then if the project is larger than the hoop I take the larger area outside the hoop and roll it up and clip it together with either pins or clothes pens and so it travels good with the hoop as it is doing the project....Hopefully this will make your project a lot easier... as it works great for me ....
