As long as it's been stored away from sunlight and dampness, it should be absolutely fine. Test it and be sure to lower your top tension several numbers, vertical spool pin, and a 90/14 Topstitch needle. Sew slowly.
I have some Sliver� thread that's been hanging around for 20 years or so. Is there any reason not to use it - it doesn't "rot" or disintegrate as it ages, does it?
