We use our sergers to make pillow cases for the kids in hospitals. They then will thread the end piece back through the stitches to keep them from unraveling. Is this necessary or is there a way to lock the end of the stitches so they don't unravel? Thank you.
That works fine. You can also use a seam sealant (fray check) or tie a knot. It can be found at https://www.sulky.com/item/fray-check... For something that is washed a great deal like a pillowcase you definitely do want to secure the chains.
