If you mean for machine embroidery, for permanent stabilization I use Soft 'n Sheer. If you're thinking more of an interfacing, Tender Touch. If it's a lined item I would likely first interface with Tender Touch and then use Soft 'n Sheer for stitchout. If the silk is hand washable I will often starch it first, then use Sticky Fabri-Solvy in the hoop so I don't have to hoop the actual silk, with a floating layer of Fabri-Solvy underneath.
