Filkins thread nest
Fur Filaine Thread Collection - 12-pack
I have done all the tricks and suggestions with embroidery Foxy Filaine. I cannot get through it without the thread making a huge nest under the hoop. I am using the recommended needle, bobbin thread, slow speed, and the Foxy embroidery pattern. I have a Janome Skyline 9. What should I do next? If I can't get through the pattern provided, I will need to return the thread. I was really looking forward to doing the coming animals in the next months as released. So disappointed.

I am sorry you are having trouble with the Filaine thread. It does require special handling and we want you to have success with it. Make sure the auto-cutting function is turned off so the thread isn't pulled to the wrong side and knotted at the start of a new color. Have you tried fiddling with the tension at all? Some people have had success with lowering it to 1.2 and adjusting up to 1.75 if needed. Also make sure to follow the color chart so you aren't stitching the areas digitized for 40 wt thread with the Filaine. If you continue to have trouble, please email us at info@sulky.com so we can try and troubleshoot further.
