If you do not have a Google account, you will not be able to participate in the Live Chat. It’s important to note that you don’t need a G-mail account to create a Google account. However, some people are hesitant and don’t want to have anything to do with Google. They will be able to watch but cannot chat/interact.
First, you’ll need to create a Google account. Check out their step-by-step guide here to create your account and prepare you for the next step. You don’t need to setup a G-mail account to have a Google account! Here’s a helpful tip from Google Account Help:
“Tip: You don’t need a Gmail account to create a Google Account. You can use your non-Gmail email address to create one instead.”
