We generally recommend a lightweight Sulky prewound bobbin or 60 wt bobbin thread. 12 wt thread is heavy, and you want to minimize any build-up by using a lightweight bobbin thread. You may need to adjust your top tension some to compensate for the heavy thread. Sulky 30 wt Cotton in the bobbin is a better choice when quilting, assuming the thread will show on the back. Otherwise use the prewound bobbins or 60 wt bobbin thread.
