Virtually all Sulky Threads are suitable for quilting, starting with the lightest weight (invisible), 60 wt PolyLite (micro stippling), 50 wt Cotton+Steel (subtle), 40 wt Rayon or Poly Deco (great for kids quilts). For a bolder look 30 wt Solid Color Cottons or Blendables, even the heavier 12 wt on the top with the matching 30 wt in the bobbin. Metallics are used frequently for quilting: Original Metallics, Holoshimmer, or Sliver. Even specialty threads like Glowy (glow in the dark). There are needle and tensions adjustments for some of these, but all will work well. There are no rules - it depends on the use intended and the look desired.
