Anytime you want a heavier, denser fill-in, and a more visible thread, use Sulky 30 wt Cotton thread. You may have to adjust the length and width of the design to compensate for the heavier thread. 30 wt thread is about 1/3 heavier than 40 wt thread, which is what decorative stitches are digitized for. The 12 wt Cotton may be a little too heavy to use with decorative stitches, except for the most basic stitches, without any satin stitch elements. It's available in 130 Solid Cotton Colors and 126 Cotton Blendables in both weights. The 12 wt comes on a 330 yd kingsize spool, and the economical 50 yd Petites; the 30 wt spool has 500 yds. Both weights are also available on Jumbo Cones.
