There are a couple of options, depending on the complexity of the design. If it's simple you can just trace it onto our lightest Solvy:
Article number 486-01 (1 yd. pack), -03 (3 yd. pack), -08 (8" roll), -12 (12" roll) or -25 (25 yd. bolt).
I would recommend using this with Sulky KK 2000 Temporary Spray Adhesive to make tracing easier, and then also to adhere it to your pattern. It may be able to be just pulled away, but less likely with hand embroidery, because you want to be very gentle with your stitches. In that case, trim away the excess and rinse under warm running water.
For a more complex design and no tracing, try this:

Sulky Stick 'n Stitch is a printable, water soluble stabilizer that can be used in a printer or copy machine. Once printed, you peel off the release sheet and then smooth it onto your embroidery. No hoop will be needed, but you can use one if you like. It, too, rinses away when you're done under warm running water. Use the lightest setting on your printer, to minimize printer ink.
