You will like have to use a cone-holder behind your machine that lifts the thread up into a guide and then allows you to thread normally. Unless this Elna is an industrial machine, it's unlikely to have support for a cone on the machine itself. I'll hunt up the size of the cone and post that as soon as I have it.
Also, be sure to use a 90/14 needle, or even a 90/14 topstitch needle, which has a longer eye.

Base 3”
Height 4.25”
Top of cone hole .375”
