I see no reason why not. It's just a lightweight polyester thread. If you also use it in the bobbin, be sure you wind it very slowly and only about 1/2 full. It is a monofilament thread, and any monofilament thread can stretch when wound at high speed. If you don't want to use it in the bobbin, just use a 60 wt. bobbin thread, or Sulky 60 wt. PolyLite available in 36 solid colors.
