The #885 Slimline box will fit most small spools (250 yds. or so). The larger #886 Slimline box is made for kingsize spools about 1.75" long and 1.438 inches in diameter and 850 yds. or so. There is some play there, but it will not fit the Maxi-Spools or mini-kings or those types of spools.
