The most recommended stabilizer by t-shirt quilt teachers is Sulky Tender Touch. It does not change the hand of the t-shirts, and it has just a slight stretch but controls the stretch and distortion created by assorted knit t-shirts. It is a fusible iron-on, cut-away stabilizer. But it is lightweight enough to sew into the seams if desired.
