What is the difference between heavy weight and medium weight?

None. It was a change in classification from heavy to medium. You might still see some "heavy" marked packages out there, but it is the same exact product. When the glue was added to Fabri-Solvy it added some weight, but it doesn't change the actual weight of the Fabri-Solvy, and both the glue and Fabri-Solvy dissolve at the same time. So after some discussion, medium won out. Sorry for the confusion.
