The Blendables are 100% Cotton 2-ply thread. They come in both 30 wt. and heavier 12 wt.
You could piece with the lighter 30 wt., but most quilters prefer a lighter weight thread for piecing. You could use it for light construction, I would not use it for a fitted garment that would result in a good deal of stress on the seams, for instance. You could make pillows, and home dec items with it. Just choose items with some care depending on their use. The 12 wt. is stronger, but it is still 100% cotton, so not as strong as a poly/cotton or pure poly sewing thread, in my opinion.
