Once I peel and stick my pattern onto wool, how long can I leave it there prior to embroidering?

I want to cut out my pattern pieces, stick on wool, then embroider at my leisure. How long will the stick n stitch stick to the wool? It may take me several months to finish all the pieces.

I've never heard of time-length being an issue. Certainly this would apply to a lot of people doing hand-stitching. You might want to keep the project in a sealed plastic bag with the air squeezed out between stitching sessions. It is, after all, water soluble and could be affected by climate, particularly humidity.
