I would suggest one or two layers of Sulky Tear-Easy, hooped with the towel, and our lightest weight Solvy as a topper to hold down the nap so it doesn't poke through the stitching. It can be pulled away, and does not need to be washed. If there are any bits remaining, you can remove them by dampening a paper towel and laying it over the area, and ironing the paper towel dry - it will lift any bits remaining. Tear-Easy also comes in a 3-yd. pack, several roll sizes, and 25-yd. bolts.
