We do suggest that you use the draft (lightest) setting on your printer, but sometimes people forget. Also, inks vary all over the place. Sometimes when you soak a project the ink floats to the top and then clings to the item when you lift it out. When you rinse this does not happen. If the ink was very dark, it might have gone through the stabilizer as you stitched. However, the good new is...so far it has always come out be using a laundry stain treatment like shout or Spray 'n Wash. You may have to do it a couple of times. I'm sure some day I'll hear of an ink that doesn't respond. But we've had this product in our line at least 8 years or more, and so far, when this happens that does the trick.
