Some sergers also have a coverstitch capability. But it does take adjusting in order to switch to that mode. If that doesn't bother you, go ahead and get a serger that allows for this. You won't regret it!
Does a serger also do a cover stitch or is the cover stitch a separate sewing machine only for hems?
