There are several ways, the best one is the one you mentioned...Sulky KK 2000 Temporary Spray. However, if you don't have that, you could use pins, or tape. But truly, it is so much easier to trace on if you have the spray. KK 2000 is non-toxic and non-flammable. It also dissipates with heat, so once you start to remove the Heat-Away, the KK is gone at the same time. If you don't finish your project in one sitting, you can help maintain the stick of the KK by storing the project in a zip-lock bag with all the air squeezed out, or you could also re-apply.
