You can indeed use your home printer. Use the lightest setting (draft setting) on your printer to minimize the amount of ink on the stabilizer.
You would want to use article #459-02,Sulky Stick 'n Stitch. We suggest that you do not buy this on Amazon because there is a lot of counterfeit product there, that looks very similar. It does not wash out easily, at all.
You print on it, remove the release sheet, and smooth the sticky side onto your Aida cloth. Depending on your lighting, you may be able to see the holes through the Stick 'n Stitch, or from behind. But the product really eliminates the need for Aida cloth.
