What is the difference between Variegated and Multicolor thread?
Rayon Thread
Sulky has Rayon Embroidery thread that's Variegated and some that's called Multicolor. What is the difference between the two? Do they stitch out differently? Do they have sharper color changes?
Thanks!

That's a really good question. Not many people understand the difference and use the terms interchangeably. Variegated threads are tones of the same color, going from light to darker and pastels often end in white. Multi-colors are exactly that. Different colors combined in a thread. In our 40 wt. rayon line, the color changes are every 10 to 12 inches and consistently. In our Cotton Blendables (30 wt. and 12 wt.) line, the colors change randomly every 2-1/2 to 5 inches. I find the Blendables to be more forgiving in quilting because there is not real pattern to the color changes.
