More than likely. Solvy (especially the lightest weights) can get a little crispy when stored in dry climates and not properly covered. Conversely, it can get "wimpy" in a humid climate. But it will usually return to it's proper feel when stored in a sealed plastic bag for a bit (with the air squeezed out). It's climate sensitive, but still usable. The lightest weight Solvy (which is what this is), is almost always used as a topper for computerized machine embroidery, and not for a backing, so it will most always feel softer than the other Sulky Solvy products.
