It is exactly the same thread, often dyed at the same time as the large spools. However, dye lots can vary, so try to buy all you need with the same dye lot number at the same time.
is the 12 wt Sulky petite (50yd) thread the same as 12 wt on a regular spool (300+yd)?
I started long stitch hand quilting using a 50 yd 12 wt Sulky Petites (long staple cotton) spool. My local quilt store said the 300+ yd 12 wt Sulky mercerized long staple cotton is the same. It looks like it is thinner than the thread on the Petites. Is this the same thread?
