Do I need to purchase the session AND the kit or is kit included in session fee?

The kit is a separate purchase, but you can still take the session because it includes the designs, which have a $20 value. You'll just have to use your own threads, stabilizers and towels. Of course, that makes results a little more uncertain, but you will learn a lot.
