No, it's a fully intact, ready-to-embroider, adorable teddy bear. I have made lots of these and they are awesome to embroider on. The head and body both have intact fitted "pillows" inside that are easy removed, leaving a perfectly "flat" bear belly (or more) to embroider or applique on. When complete you just return the pillows to the body and you're good to go. So easy, and so impressive to everyone that sees it. You'll love them.
