If this is for the Dutton Bag, and it looks like that's what you're asking about, I would not use anything else. All stabilizers are not created equal. You need two layers for this, and you have plenty of time to get the embroidery done before the event. It takes a good while to stitch out, probably 2 or 3 hours, depending on your machine. Because of this, I would not use anything but Sulky Fabri-Solvy. You don't say where it's sold out, but it is available on our site www.sulky.com today. We have 35% off sale going on and that should more than compensate you for shipping. I have heard of issues with free-standing lace when the proper stabilizer isn't used. It is more critical with free-standing lace, for sure. In my opinion, the time involved in making this would make the stabilizer choice very important.

P.S. - If you bought a kit - the stabilizer and threads are included in the kit. The kits have not yet started shipping from www.sallietomato.com.
