The PDFs that come exclusively with the kit are for people who do not have a cutting machine/Dies. The PDFs are the cutting templates for the Bird and Oven Mitt patterns. These templates are property of AccuQuilt and we are not permitted to provide them to anyone who has not purchased a kit. If you have purchased the Dies, then you do not need these PDFs and you should be able to access the Oven Mitt Assembly Instructions that go with that Die.
The freebie for the event is the Kitchen Stitchin Bird Machine Embroidery Design. This uses one of the Bird dies from AccuQuilt, but you can also use the Bird template (from the kit) or traditional in-the-hoop appliqué methods if not precutting the Bird shape prior to embroidery. The design files also contain a PDF, which is the color chart for the design. All of this is zipped together when you click to download your freebie.
