If you are getting popups on the chat, it is likely due to the browser settings. In your browser, you can go to Settings>Site Settings, find "Popups and Redirects" and toggle that off.
In your browser settings, "Site Settings," find "Ads," or "Intrusive Ads" and ensure it's blocked. The problem is not site/user-wide. It is specific to the user browser settings.
If you can locate your browser settings and go to Site Settings, and ensure Popups and Notifications are blocked that should remove the popups you are seeing.

Or, try clearing your browser's cache, cookies and/or "temporary data.”
If you don't see "Site Settings" in your browser settings, it may be listed under "Privacy and Security," which is where you can turn off popups and notifications.
Then you will need to refresh the page for those settings to take effect.
