It depends on how you're going to use it. It is 100% polyester, so it's fairly strong, but fine. I would not use it for seams, unless you're using a serger. Always wind a bobbin very slowly with this thread, and I would avoid high-speed on the sewing machine, too. It is a monofilament (meaning one strand), and any monofilament thread can stretch when high speed is applied to it. You can use a very fine needle, though, as small as 60/8, but generally a 75/11. It will not tolerate a hot iron, but likely your fabrics won't either. I'm not sure I would trust it to be strong enough for a bustle attachment, though, depending on how many times you sewed the seam.
