Cross stitch wooden gift tags
I want to make the cross stitch valentine wooden gift tags. 12 weight cotton is supposed to be equal to two threads of floss. However, the chart instructions say to use two strands oof the 12 weight thread. This fills the holes quite tightly making it difficult to pass the needle. Since it requires additional passes to make the letters, this seems wrong. Is this a misprint in the instructions oor is there a reason the 12 weight needs to be doubled?
