We use our sergers to make pillow cases for the kids in hospitals. They then will thread the end piece back through the stitches to keep them from unraveling. Is this necessary or is there a way to lock the end of the stitches so they don't unravel? Thank you. View answer

The closest you can come to a combo sewing/serger machine is the Baby Lock Triumph. I used one at my local dealer. It looks like a sewing machine but the stitching is still a chain stitch. View answer
